Max Larkin

The death has occurred of Max Larkin, 5 Parkside, Johnswell Road, Kilkenny. Max passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2025. Beloved son of Frankie and Jean and much loved brother of Jack and Mia. Max will be dearly missed by his heartbroken family, grandparents Frank and Maureen (Larkin) and Jimmy and Margo (Delaney), his aunts and uncles, grandaunts and granduncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends. 

Reposing at his family home in Parkside (R95W8F1) on Saturday, September 13, from 4pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11.30am in St. John's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private on Sunday please. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed here HERE

 

Noreen Kelly (née Irish)

The death has occurred of Noreen Kelly (née Irish), Bridge Street, Mullinavat, Kilkenny. Formerly of Nicholastown, Slieverue, County Kilkenny. Aged 97 years. Noreen passed away peacefully on Tuesday in the wonderful care of the staff at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her husband Bernard (Bernie) Kelly, brothers Pat, Andy and Billy, sister Gretta (O’Neill). Sadly missed by her loving daughters Martina, Frances and Susan, sons Liam and John, sister Biddy (Dunphy), sons-in-law John and Lindsay, daughter-in-law Yupha, Liam’s partner Rosemarie, sisters-in-law Kitty (Irish) and Mary (Irish), grandchildren Niall, Bernard, Isabel, Heather, Carmel, Bernadine and Irene, great granddaughter Maria, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Friday at Donnacha Doyle & Son’s Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5pm until 7pm. Arriving on Saturday at St. Beacon’s Church, Mullinavat for Requiem Mass at 12noon. Maurice McCarthy

The death has occurred of Maurice McCarthy, O'Shea's Green, Tinnakilly, Rosbercon, New Ross, Co. Kilkenny, and formerly of The Rower, Co. Kilkenny. Beloved husband of Bessie, cherished father of Carmel, Lisa, Elaine, Michael and the late Paul. Pre-deceased by his loving sister Noeleen. Sadly, missed by his loving wife, children, grandchildren Caoimhe, Kieran, Anna, Luke, Rob and Noah, brothers, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 12, at 12noon in St. Anne's Church, Rathgarogue, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only donations if desired to The Alzheimer's Society Donate here and The Irish Cancer Society Donate here

Tommy Bartley

The death has occurred of Tommy Bartley, Manukau, New Zealand formerly Cork City and Piltown, Co Kilkenny. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tommy, who passed away in New Zealand. He will be forever loved and remembered by his cherished and most precious daughter Leah, parents Mick and Pauline, sisters Elaine and Susan, nephews Aaron and Jack, Leah's mum Sandra , brother-in-law Mick and his wider family and friends in Ireland and New Zealand.

Cremation service will take place at the Island crematorium Ringaskiddy, Cork on Friday at 1pm.
