Finishing works are continuing inside the new train station building alongside external works to platforms, plazas, set-down areas and landscaping.

Major traffic management features have now been removed from Dock Road, Fountain Street and Abbey Road in Ferrybank - with street furniture, landscaping and public lighting commissioning continuing.

The eastern flood defence scheme is reported as complete, while the western flood defence scheme is scheduled for completion in Q2 2026.

Project teams are closing out final commissioning of its mechanical and electrical systems on the new sustainable transport bridge, while the central bascule spans continue to open for river traffic.

Harcourt Developments are also consulting with the Land Development Agency on rolling out the residential elements of the North Quays.

Works are expected to commence in the first half of 2026 with integration works to be fast-tracked to support the earliest possible opening of the transport hub and bridge in 2027.
