Gardaí were called into action at a busy Kilkenny supermarket car park after stopping a driver who was found to be without insurance.
The incident took place outside an Aldi outlet in Kilkenny, where gardaí intercepted a vehicle during routine policing activity.
According to gardaí, the driver was subsequently found to be uninsured, with the vehicle later seized at the scene.
A picture shared by gardaí online shows the vehicle being loaded onto a recovery truck in the car park while a garda patrol car remained at the location.

In a social media post highlighting the incident, An Garda Síochána Kilkenny reminded motorists about the importance of having valid insurance before taking to the road.
The post read: “Milk, Bread, Eggs, Biscuits, Car Insurance. All of the above items can be purchased in this supermarket bar one… But to drive to the shop you do need the last item.”
The message was shared alongside a photograph of the seized vehicle being removed from the car park.
