Noel Walshe

The death has occurred of Noel Walshe, Tullahought, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny and late of Stone Park, Aherlow, Co. Tipperary. A loving husband of Mary (née Brennan) and father of PJ, Christine, Brendan. Loving granddad to Tadhg, Micheal, Roisín, Amy, Aoife, Ciara, Fiadh, and goddaughter Meave. Sadly missed by his daughter-in-laws Gráinne, Sarah, son-in-law Niall, brothers-in-law Tom, Victor, nephews and niece, relatives and friends

Noel will be reposing at Walsh's Funeral Home, New Street, Carrick-on-Suir on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm. Noel will be arriving to St Nicholas Church, Tullahought E32D793 on Wednesday, September 24, for requiem mass on arrival at 11am followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Patricia (Pat) Kearns

The death has occurred of Patricia (Pat) Kearns, Raheny, formerly Bennettsbridge, Co Kilkenny, on September 21, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Michael and her daughter Creina. Deeply missed by her sons Barry, David and Paul, daughter Maria, daughter-in-law Cathy, grandchildren Liam, Megan, Andreas, Lauritz, Sydney and Esmée, brother Des, and all her extended family, in particular her niece and goddaughter Colette.

Reposing Tuesday, September 23, from 5pm to 7pm, at Frank Jennings Funeral Home, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5, eircode D05KP80. Removal Wednesday 24th at 9:55am from Frank Jennings Funeral Home, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5, to St John the Evangelist Church, Greendale Road, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5, to arrive for 10am Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium at 12pm. Theresa Dobbyn (née Cleere)

The death has occurred of Theresa Dobbyn (née Cleere), Dunkitt, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Monday,  September 22, 2025. Peacefully, in the tender care of her loving family and all the staff at The South East Palliative Care Centre, Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jim, parents Percy and Mary. Theresa will be sadly missed by her son Richard, daughters Colette (Walker), Martina (Waters) and Vera (Hunt), sons-in-law Martin, Seamus and John, grandson Jamie, sister Maura (Shiel), nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends

Ann Cassidy (née Casey)

The death has occurred of Ann Cassidy, Mayfield, Cork City, formerly Castlecomer, who passed away on September 21, peacefully but unexpectedly after a short illness, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful and exceptional care of the staff at CareChoice Montenotte Nursing Home. Previous manager of SVP shop Mayfield. Wife of Patrick. Cherished mother of Maria, Martin and Darren. Predeceased by her brother Dave, sisters Elizabeth and Mary. Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Shauna, James, Joy, Luke, Chloe, great grandson Rian, daughters-in-law Joanne, Linda, sisters Peggy, Bridget, Brother Murt (Billy), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Tuesday, September 23, from 5pm to 6pm, with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, the 24th at 11am in The Church of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield which will be live-streamed at the following link:here followed by burial in St Catherine's Cemetery, Kilcully. The family would like to thank doctors/ nurses/ homecare team and all the Staff in the CareChoice Montenotte Nursing Home for their kindness love and exceptional care shown to Ann during her short illness.

Brendan Canavan

The death has occurred of Brendan Canavan, Ballinkillen, Co. Carlow, who passed away peacefully in the care of the kind staff in the Barrow Ward, St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on September 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Brian, parents Michael and Mary, brothers John, Mikie, Eddie, Gerry, Paddy, Jimmy and his sister May. Brendan will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by his loving family, his wife Mary, sons David and Ciarán, daughters Siobhán and Niamh, his adored grandchildren Alice Rose, Arden, Evan and Ava, daughter-in-law Sarah, sons-in-law Eoin and James, sister Annie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Cushen’s Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (R21 V127) on Wednesday, September 24, from 2pm until 8pm, with prayers at 6pm. Removal from his residence on Thursday, September 25, to arrive at St. Laserian’s Church, Ballinkillen, for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Bridget Yeigh (née Power)

The death has occurred of Bridget Yeigh (née Power) of Freeburg, Pennsylvania, USA, and formerly of Luffany, Mooncoin, Co Kilkenny. Bridget passed away in Pennsylvania on September 20, 2025, aged 85 years. Pre deceased by her husband Ben, her sisters Stasia and Kathleen, her brothers, Willie, Ned, Dick and Tommy. Bridget will be sadly missed by her daughter Tracy, her sisters Peggy, Alice and Mary, son-in-law Gary, granddaughters Rebecca and Margaret, grandson Josh, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephew, relatives and friends.

Bridget will be laid to rest in Pennsylvania.

Mary O'Neill (née Donnelly)

The death has occurred of Mary O’Neill (née Donnelly), DeLoughrey Place, and formerly of Pearse Street, Kilkenny City, who died peacefully in her 95th year at her home on September 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased by her husband Jack, her parents Winifred and Patrick Donnelly, brother Francie and Paddy (Jnr), sisters Peggy and Bridie, great grand-son Jack and grand-daughter Annie. Deeply missed and regretted by her loving family, sons and daughters Billy, Trish and Gabriel. Her brother Liam, daughters in law Breda and Brenda and Trish’s partner Tony. Forever missed by her adored grand-children, great grand-children and great great grand-children, nieces, nephews, extended family, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Mary will repose in Shasby’s funeral home Kilkenny City on Tuesday, September 23, from 5pm concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24, at 11am in St. Canice’s Church, Kilkenny followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. Donations, if desired, to Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care team or Irish Cancer Society, donation box will be in funeral home and church. Mary’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Mark McGuane, Patrick Street Medical Centre, Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team, the Irish Cancer Society Night Nurse Service, Pathfinder Team and in particular, to Vivienne and all Mary’s carers for all the help and support given to Mary and her family during her illness. William Keating

The death has occurred of William Keating, St. Patrick's Avenue, Castlebar, Mayo, and late of Clogh, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in St. John’s Ward, Sacred Heart Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Sarah and Andrew, sister Margaret, brothers John, Michael and Vincent and his nephews Eoghan and Michael Jnr. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, son Declan (Moygownagh), daughters Tracey (Barrett, Straide), Cynthia (Brennan, Laherdane), Donna (Cannon, Killawalla) and their mother Marrion, brothers Ritchie, Tommy, Martin, Gerard and Eugene, sisters Mary, Carmel, Breda, Catherine, Liz, Annette and Aggie, daughter-in-law Valentina, sons-in-law Declan, Vinnie and Martin, grandchildren Hannah, Katie, Mia, Sarah, Conor, Patrick, Ellie, Matthew, Martin, Caelan, Tómas and Seán, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors and friends.

Removal from his residence on Tuesday at 10.45am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar. William will be laid to rest afterwards in Castlebar new cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on https://www.churchtv.ie/castlebar/

Joe Doyle

The death has occurred of Joe Doyle, St Johns Place, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny on September 21, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Nan, daughter Brigid, son in law George. Much loved father of Mary (Skelton), Ann (Ward), Helen (Barcoe), loving grandad of Keith and his wife Lisa, Emma and her partner Jason, Tom and his wife Sarah, great grandad to Lucy, Lauren, Layla and Joey, sons in law Christy and Joe, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Removal from his home on Tuesday, September 23, to Church of the Assumption, Gowran, for funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Immediate family flowers only. Donations if desired to Dalton House Daycare Centre
