The death has occurred of William (Billy) O’Shea, Croan, Dunnamaggin, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at his home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife May and his parents Josephine and James O’Shea. Much loved father of Angela (Noel), Jim (Martina), Martina (Richard), Maria (Paul), Katie (Richie) and William (Ciara). Devoted and proud grandfather of Megan, Rebecca, John Paul, Eimear, Róisín, Donnacha, Dáire, Aoife, Cillian, Áine and Éabha, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends
Reposing at his residence, Croan, Dunnamaggin, Co.Kilkenny (Eircode R95 Y6E5) on Monday, November 24, from 3pm, concluding with Rosary and Vigil prayers at 7pm. Funeral arriving at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Hugginstown, (Eircode R95 FH74) for Requiem Mass on Tuesday, November 25, at 11am. Burial will follow afterwards in Sheepstown Cemetery. House private please on Tuesday morning. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to The Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team. The O’Shea Family would like to thank in a special way all the staff at Ballyhale Healthcare Centre and Kissane’s Pharmacy, Ballyhale and the wonderful staff of Carlow Kilkenny Homecare Team for their utmost kindness and care shown to Billy.
The death has occurred of Mary Farrelly (née Doherty), 7 Castle Avenue, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny and formerly of Kinnogo, Buncrana, Co Donegal, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Andy and her brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by her daughter Anne (Dowling), grandsons Peter, Liam, Colm and Kieran, great grandchildren Cara, Kayla, Niamh, and Rory, brother Phil, sisters Bridget and Sadie, brothers-in-law, sisters in law, Nieces and Nephews extended family, neighbours and friends. And a special thanks to her many carers for their help and kindness.
Arriving for Requiem Mass on Monday, November 24, at 11am in the Church of the Assumption Thomastown, followed by burial in St Mary's New cemetery, Thomastown Co Kilkenny. Requiem mass can be viewed online at https://thomastownparish.ie/webcam/
The death has occurred of Maggie Walker (née Geoghegan), Deerpark, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, on November 23, 2025. Peacefully at home. Pre-deceased by her parents Eamonn and Mary, and brothers, Eamonn and Seamus. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Seamus; daughters, Teresa, Helen, and Catherine; sons-in-law, John and Seamus; and Catherine’s partner, Barney. Fondly remembered by her loving granddaughters, Sarah and Hannah, and Hannah’s partner, Ryan. She is also survived by her brothers, Sean, Noel, and Pascal, sisters, Marie, Bridgie and Angela, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends

The death has occurred of Mary (Maisie) Teehan (née Gunning), Westfield, Kilkenny, and formerly of Ferbane and Shannonbridge, Co. Offaly. Maisie passed away on November 22, 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in Surgical 1 and the Suir Ward at St. Luke's Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Tony and much loved mother of Gerard, Myra, Oonagh and Barry. Maisie will be dearly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Ciara and Ruaraidh, son-in-law Kevin Limbert, Gerard's partner Sheena Furlong and her daughters Megan and Brionne, Oonagh's partner Tommy Kennedy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Maisie is predeceased by her parents Paddy and Bridget, sister Breda and brother Harry.
Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Monday, November 24, from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.15pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12noon in St. Joseph's Church, Foulkstown (R95A891). Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private please.
