Teresa (Honora) Delaney

The death has occurred of Teresa (Honora) Delaney, Troy’s Court, Kilkenny City and formerly of Callan, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully on December 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of all the staff in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents John and Nora (née Coady) sisters Joan and Catherine and brother Christopher. Teresa will be greatly missed by her sisters Mary, Margaret and Carmel and brother-in-law Brian. Forever loved by her nephews, nieces, extended family, excellent neighbours and loyal friends.

Teresa will repose in Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 5pm, concluding with rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 18, in St. Canice’s Church, Kilkenny City at 10.30am followed by burial in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Brid O'Connor (née Doyle)

The death has occurred of Bríd O'Connor (née Doyle), The Anvil, Walterstown, Cobh, Cork / Kilkenny, late of Clogh, Co. Kilkenny, former Lady Captain of Cobh Golf Club. Unexpectedly but peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Cork University Hospital. Beloved wife of Ger, adored mam of Tia, much loved daughter of Mary Jo and the late Michael Doyle and dear sister of Teresa, Jim, John and Miriam. Brid will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, daughter, mother, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends

Brid will repose at Cahill’s Funeral Home, Newtown Road, P24Y383 on Monday, December 15t, from 5.30pm with prayers at 7pm. Reception into St. Colman’s Cathedral on Tuesday, December 16, at 10.45am for 11am Requiem Mass followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy. Mary Fallon (née O'Connor)

The death has occurred of Mary Fallon (née O’Connor), 27 Dolmen Gardens, Pollerton, Carlow, and  formerly of the Boundary House, Doonane Bridge, Crettyard, Co. Kilkenny.  Peacefully after a short illness bravely borne at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on December 12, 2025. Pre-deceased by her father Patrick Joseph. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving husband Noel, daughters Meadhbh and Áine, mother Bridget, sisters Frances, Helen, Elizabeth, Catherine, Brigid, Paula, and brothers Eamon, Patrick and Liam, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Dr. Peter James Faul MD FRCPI

The death has occurred of Dr. Peter James Faul MD FRCPI, County Physician (Kilkenny City and late of Louth Village, Co. Louth) on December 12, 2025, peacefully at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Noreen (née Moloney), brothers Monsignor Denis PP and Stephen, sisters Mary (Mast), Brigid (Mac Artain) and Dr. Eleanor. Deeply regretted by his loving children Clare (Harrison), Honora, Peter Nicholas, John and Anne (Malpass) and his brother Terence. Adored grandfather of John, Louise, Mary Elizabeth, Catherine, John Philip, Peter Joseph, Nicholas and Hannah. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Nora, sons-in-law Vincent Harrison and Charles Malpass, daughters-in-law Catherine Cleary and Clodagh Hickey-Dwyer, nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends and colleagues.

Reposing at Hehir's Funeral Home, Kilkenny (R95 FH90) on Monday, December 15, from 4.30p.m. with Funeral Prayers at 6.30pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church. Funeral on Tuesday, December 16, after 2p.m. Requiem Mass to Foulkstown Cemetery. Family flowers only. House private. The Funeral Mass for Dr. Peter James will be live streamed HERE

Madge ( Margaret) Healy (née Keane)

The death has occurred of Madge (Margaret) Healy (née Keane), Lismartin, Castlecomer Rd. Kilkenny and formerly Town View House, Urlingford , Co Kilkenny. Madge died peacefully on December 12, 2025, in the loving care of the staff at Drakelands Nursing Home, Kilkenny in her 101st year. Predeceased by her loving husband Nicholas, sons Martin and Pius, parents Mary-Anne and Martin, her sisters Mary, Nellie, Nancy, Sr. Gabriel and brother Bertie. Madge will be sadly missed by her son Nicholas, her daughters Martha and Thérèse, sons-in-law Brian and Brendan and Nicholas' partner Margaret. Madge will be remembered with great love by her grandchildren Siobhán and her partner Jack, Niamh, Brian, Seán and Aidan, as well as all her nieces, nephews, extended family, good friends and neighbours and also carers and residents of Drakelands Nursing Home, Kilkenny.

Removal from her residence Lismartin, Castlecomer Rd. Kilkenny on Monday morning to the Church of the Assumption Urlingford arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am.
