The death has occurred of Kathleen Bergin (née Doran), Blackwood, Freshford, Kilkenny / Ballon, Carlow. Kathleen died suddenly in St. James' Hospital Dublin. Pre-deceased by her parents Kathleen and John, brother Harry and sister Brigid. Deeply regretted by her heart-broken husband Seán and daughter Shauna, her brothers Pat, Noel and Martin, sisters Pauline, Frances, Elizabeth, Peggy, Teresa and Geraldine, uncle Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of David Alexander Cameron Cahill, Ardclough, Straffan, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. David passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife Susie, daughter Gay (Wilmot-Smith) and son Robert, son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Patrick, Nicholas and Tom, extended family Inez, Caryl, Rachel, Sarah, Candy, Amaya and Alex, and friends.
Removal on Monday morning (January 5) to St. Anne’s Church, Ardclough arriving for a Funeral Mass at 12pm followed by a private cremation. The death has occurred of Sheila Kennedy, Ashwood Estate, Hebron Road, Kilkenny, and formerly of Dominic Street. Sheila passed away on January 3, 2026, peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital. Sheila will be sadly missed by her loving sister Patricia (Hogan), brother-in-law Ollie, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, friends and former work colleagues at SOS, Kilkenny.

The death has occurred of John (Johnny) Jordan, Corbally, Limerick and formerly of Callan, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and Greenhills, Loughlinstown. John died suddenly, at Athlunkard House Nursing Home, on Saturday, January 3, 2026. John was a much-loved husband of 63 years by his loving wife Bridie, (recently deceased), his sons Albert, Paul, Brian, Mark, daughters-in-law Heather, Sorcha, Desiree, Suzanne, grandchildren, Glen, Lee, Kim, Latisha, Hazel, Caoimhe, Eadoin, Eoghain, Sam, Aliya and Jake. He will be much missed by his surviving brothers, Jim and Micheal, sisters-in-law Rose, Pauline, Rita, Chrissie and Biddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives, friends and all the staff in Athlunkard nursing home.
Johnny will repose at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan, Co. Kilkenny (Eircode R95 Y443) on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10am. Funeral Prayers at 11.15am followed by removal to The Church of the Assumption, Callan (Eircode R95 VK82), arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan. The death has occurred of John (Joe) Galligan, Kilkenny and formerly of Bray, Co. Wicklow, who died suddenly on January 2, 2026. Father of Jenny and Kevin, dear son of Marie and the late Seán, brother of Michael, Joanne, Peter, Donna and Andrew. John will be sadly missed by his daughter, son, mother, brothers, sisters, Mary (mother of Jenny and Kevin), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Beloved mother of Mary, Helen, David, Eugene, Keith and Darren. She will be forever in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Catherine (Kitty) Doyle (née Walsh), Ballycumber Road, Ferbane, Offaly, late of Fier, Ballinakill, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Catherine, who was fondly known as Kitty, died on January 3, 2026, peacefully at home with her family, in her 101st year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, parents, Martin and Elizabeth, her siblings, (twin sister) Bessie, Jack, Neddy, Mary-Ann, Martin, and Bridie. Kitty will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, Esther, Eilish, Bernie, Catherina, and Paul, grandchildren, Connor, Fiona, Sean, Coleman, Scott, Emily, Jack and Rory, great-granddaughter Hannah, sons-in-law Tom and Ward, daughter-in-law Mary, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Kitty will repose at her home on Monday, January 5, from 4pm to 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning, January 6, to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ferbane, where her Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am, and may be viewed on http://www.ferbaneparish.ie. Kitty will be laid to rest afterwards in Kilrehan Cemetery.
