The death has occurred of Margaret (Peggy) Gorman (née Kavanagh), Southampton, England, and late of Buncrussia Street, Freshford, Kilkenny. Peggy died in Southampton in her 91st year. Pre-deceased by her husband Richard, parents Margaret and Bill, sisters Noreen, Bridie and Theresa, brothers Danny and Willie, and nephews John (Ringo) and Patrick. Sadly missed by her beloved sons Joseph, John and Richard, granddaughter Rose, daughter-in-law and partner Mary and Treacy, sisters Mary and Chrissie, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends and neighbours.
Peggy's funeral will take place in St. Edmond's Church, Southampton, on February 6, at 11am.
The death has occurred of Brian Walsh, Owning House Retirement Village, Piltown, and formerly Rathcurby, Mooncoin, County Kilkenny. Brian passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in the wonderful, loving care of the staff of Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Billy and Stella and his brother Eamonn. Deeply regretted by his daughter Elaine, her partner Rory and grandson Dáire. His sisters Kay and Margie, his brothers Liam, Brendan, Kenny, Noel, Anthony and Shane, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing on Tuesday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 6pm to 8pm. Followed by cremation on Wednesday at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Cork at 11am. No flowers please, donations to The Oak Ward at University Hospital Waterford. There will be a donation box in the funeral home.
The death has occurred of Jim (James) Morrissey, late of Eaton Terrace, Tramore, Co. Waterford and formerly, The Rower, Co. Kilkenny. Jim passed unexpectedly, at home, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Jim will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his heartbroken wife Mary, his loving and much loved children, Linda, Claire, Clive and Colm and his step children; his daughter in law Katrina; his sons in law Mike and Stephen; his adoring grandchildren Alex, Robbie, Ryan, Tessa, Nathan, Ava, Hugo and Lailah. Jim will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, all his nieces and nephews; his in-laws; his extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours, and many many friends. The Morrissey family would like to thank with great appreciation all the emergency services for their great efforts when they attended to Jim.
Jim will be reposing in Falconers Funeral Home Tramore (X91 TW21) on Tuesday, January 20, from 5pm until 7pm. All are welcome. House private please. Jim’s Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 21, at 10am in The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore. Immediately afterwards, Jim will be laid to rest in St. Declan's Cemetery, Tramore. He is deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his family - his wife Mary (née O'Reilly) and children: Mary, Margaret, Patrick, Henry and Louise; in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister May, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Phil passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the tender care of the staff of Fennor Hill Nursing Home, Urlingford, January 17, 2026. Phil will be sadly missed by his sister Mossy (Cashel) and brothers John Joe, Milo and Ignatius, with Ignatius farming with Phil for many years; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.
