Tirlán will pay its Kilkenny milk suppliers a total of 58.08 cent per litre (cpl) (including VAT) for October milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein. This is unchanged from the September milk price.
The price consists of the following:
The base price, Sustainability Action Payment and Agri-Input Support Payment will be adjusted to reflect the actual constituents of milk delivered by suppliers.
The Tirlán total price for October creamery milk, based on LTO constituents of 4.2% butterfat and 3.4% protein, is 63.0 cpl (including VAT). This includes the Sustainability Action Payment and Agri-Input Support Payment.
Tirlán Chairman John Murphy said: “International dairy product prices have weakened as buyers approach year-end. The spot market return for some products has dipped below the current farm gate price. The Board will continue to monitor developments on a monthly basis.”
Seasonality payments
Seasonality payments will apply over the winter months of December, January and February. A Seasonality Bonus payment of 4 cpl (including VAT) will be paid on all non-contracted milk volumes supplied during December that meet quality criteria.
