The final round of matches in the St Canice's Credit Union SHL will throw in across the county at 3pm on Saturday, with a wide range of possibilities and outcomes to be settled over 70 minutes.
But be it qualifying for shield finals or avoiding those dreaded relegation spots, teams will be keen to have their best starting sides available ahead of the championship season from next week.
Bennettsbridge, who need a win against O'Loughlin Gaels to avoid finishing in the bottom two of Group A, will no doubt be thrilled to have the services of Kevin Blanchfield once again who has been away the past number of months.
FINAL ROUND PERMUTATIONS: All to play for as Kilkenny Hurling Leagues reach boiling point
Blanchfield, is listed on the bench for Saturday's do or die clash and it's anticipated he will play a role.
As for the city outfit, the picture is far clearer. They have topped the group and can look forward to a league final against Thomastown with a game to spare having been unbeaten to this point.
Back in their ranks are Cian Loy and Mark Bergin, who are both set to start in the final league game after periods on the sideline due to injury.
Meanwhile, the Shamrocks have named Adrian Mullen on their subs bench for Saturday's encounter with Dicksboro. Mullen has missed much of the inter-county and club season due to an ankle and groin injury.
Speculation is also rife that Colin Fennelly may fly home from Dubai to play some part in the Shamrocks' championship season. The four-time All-Ireland winner has been abroad due to work commitments the last few years but has flown home to play for his native club on a number of occasions.
Dicksboro on the other hand have injury woes of their own. Tom McPhillips is the latest player to pick up a long-term injury after being stretchered off against Glenmore. The former Kilkenny under-20 captain joins Tom Kenny, Harry Shine and Matty Kelleher on the injury table.
Both teams need a win to be assured of safety as failure to do so and a Bennettsbridge win against O'Loughlin Gaels would mean the loser would slip into a relegation spot.
