O'Loughlin Gaels manager Brian Hogan
O'Loughlin Gaels manager Brian Hogan has fiercely defended his O'Loughlin Gaels' team character ahead of Sunday's St Canice's Credit Union SHC Final against the Shamrocks.
O'Loughlin's were on top for most of their semi-final win over Mullinavat but the city side were still holding on come the end after the 'Rod Iron Men' threw everything at their more illustrious opponents.
A Ger Malone goal for Mullinavat in the 50th minute ensured there was a chaotic end to the contest with Brian Hogan's team glad of the final whistle after over four minutes of stoppage time. - READ MORE HERE
Sunday's final is a repeat of the 2023 decider where the city club won the championship with a late wonder score from Kilkenny star Paddy Deegan. However, the St John's men will be eager to make amends for the final loss to Thomastown last year.

"Character is never questioned in that group, anyone that questions it doesn't know what they're talking about," Hogan told the KCLR Hurling Podcast.
"This is their fourth county final in five years, how people, if they're out there, are questioning character, they're talking nonsense. They don't know the game. We're the most consistent side in Kilkenny," he continued.
"Every year they come back and deliver and we've won so many tight games so like character in this bunch is a given."
