Kilkenny local representatives meet Early Childhood Ireland to raise awareness of the need to put children at the heart of Budget 2024.
At the Early Childhood Ireland’s pre-budget ‘Meet the Members’ event at Buswell’s Hotel, Dublin, were Susan Selfridge, Deputy CEO of Early Childhood Ireland, Chloe Webster, Urlingford Community Childcare with Kathleen Funchion TD.
At the event, Early Childhood Ireland highlighted the need for a plan to create a unified, publicly-funded model of Early Years and School Age Care that incentivises the recruitment and retention of a graduate workforce, is affordable and accessible for parents, and places children’s rights and their wellbeing at its heart.
