A status yellow rain warning is currently in effect for Kilkenny.
The warning became valid at 6am this morning (Tuesday) and will remain in place for 24 hours.
Other counties under the same warning include Limerick, Clare, Kerry, Tipperary, Wexford and all of Connacht.
Meanwhile, a status orange rain warning has been issued for Cork and Waterford.
