Motorists are being urged to avoid the Bleach Road area of the city due to flooding.
Kilkenny County Council has confirmed that at present there is no through road due to flooding.
Following torrential rain overnight there are areas of flooding throughout the city and county and motorists are being urged to drive with caution in the area.
