Kilkenny Soccer: Oscar Traynor clash sole survivor as #StormDeirdre hits fixtures

OT

The Oscar Traynor game between Kilkenny and Wexford will go ahead today. All other soccer games in Kilkenny have been called off

The Kilkenny & District League have scrapped all bar one of this weekend's junior soccer fixtures.

With Storm Deirdre battering the South-East, bringing high winds and heavy rain, the League has made the decision to call off all local junior games scheduled for Sunday.

The only game that WILL go ahead is the meeting of the Kilkenny & District League and Wexford in the group stages of the Oscar Traynor Trophy. That match will be played today (Saturday) on the all-weather pitch at Evergreen Park. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

The Cats, who were beaten in last year's final by Carlow, know a win over Wexford and nothing less will do if they are to reach the knockout stages in this season's tournament.
