Breaking: Gardaí make two significant drug seizures in South Kilkenny

One male is being detained in custody at Thomastown Garda Station this evening following the seizure of a quantity of cocaine from a house in Graignamanagh earlier this evening.

As part of an ongoing investigation gardaí, assisted by the Customs Drugs Unit, searched a house under warrant and seized approximately €1,000 worth of cocaine.

A male in his late twenties is being questioned in connection with the seizure.

Meanwhile in a separate incident over the weekend gardaí seized approximately €3,500 worth of cannabis in the Glenmore area of South Kilkenny.

A garda spokesperson said that both seizures were of drugs destined for the local drugs market in South Kilkenny and added that resources would continue to be deployed into apprehending people involved in the sale and supply of illegal substances.
