Kilkenny annual mean temperature over the last 60 years

Kilkenny like the rest of the world is warming up. According to accurate figures from Kilkenny Weather, the temperature has, worryingly, increased by 1C every five years.

Niall Dullard, the man behind Kilkenny Weather has complied 60 years of temperature data for Kilkenny.

"The five year average is now almost 1 C warmer than the 1961-1990 average. After a brief cooling period from 2008-2012, the warm trend has continued since," he said.

He also added that it was the first time ever that he had to cut the grass around the recording equipment at Christmas to ensure accurate figures.
