Gardaí are investigating a number of incidents where attempts were made to break into vehicles and a theft from a van in the Urlingford area in recent days.
An attempt to break into a van at Riverside Park in Urlingford on Friday night. The silver Volkswagen Caddy was parked on the street at Riverside Park when the incident occurred at 9.30pm.
Gardaí also received a report of a second incident at Riverside Park on Friday evening involving an attempted break in to a van. The white Citroen Berlingo was parked on the street when the window was smashed shortly after 9.35pm. Entry was not gained to the van.
A third incident in Urlingford was reported to gardaí – a white Citroen Dispatch van was broken into while parked on the driveway of a house in Togher Way between 9pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday. A number of items were stolen including a Dewalt mixing drill, cordless drill and radio.
Anyone with CCTV footage or who noticed any suspicious vehicles/persons in the area are asked to contact local gardaí.
