Plans to be lodged seeking to demolish Black Cat site in Kilkenny, and build housing

The applicant will seek the demolition of the existing Black Cat public house and associated outbuildings, including the demolition of the existing forecourt structure and associated shop

Hebron Ventures Ltd intend to apply for planning permission for development on a site at Black Mill Street in Kilkenny City.

The development will consist of the proposed construction of 23 dwelling units consisting of; 5 three-bedroom terraced houses, 2 two-bedroom semi-detached houses.

Also proposed is the construction of a four-storey duplex and apartment building consisting of; 8 two-bedroom apartments, 6 three-bedroom two-storey duplex units and 2 four-bedroom two-storey duplex units.

The applicant will also seek the demolition of the existing Black Cat public house and associated outbuildings, the demolition of the existing forecourt structure and associated shop, removal of existing services and the provision of vehicular access from De Loughry Place.

Also to be sought will be internal roads and footpaths, stepped pedestrian access through to Dominic Street, surface level carparking, cycle parking, refuse storage, public lighting, landscaping and public realm upgrade works, and all associated site works.
