Canadian ice hockey team get a tour of Kilkenny and meet Mayor Andrew McGuinness

A visiting hockey team from Montreal, Canada were welcomed into County Hall on Saturday, in Mayor of Kilkenny Andrew McGuinness' first official function in his new term of office.

The Billings Blazers Ice Hockey team, from Montreal, Canada, are currently in Ireland, and came to Kilkenny for the day on Saturday hosted by Patsie and Paul Cummins and the Kilkenny Storm crew. Ivan Sheridan of Kilkenny City Tours gave them a complimentary tour of the city.

The Billings Blazers have 'a proud athletic history with many championship teams and individual stellar athletes'. Go Blazers!
