The former Argos outlet on High Street in Kilkenny
The formal opening of Tesco Ireland’s new store on High Street in Kilkenny will take place on Tuesday, November 12 at 10.30am.
The retail unit, formerly occupied by Argos, has undergone major renovations and has been fitted out to accommodate the new Tesco Express store.
Last November, Tesco opened their first store in County Kilkenny with their Express outlet in Ferrybank.

Until then, Kilkenny was the only county in the Republic of Ireland without a Tesco.
Plans are also currently being considered by Kilkenny County Council for a large Tesco outlet on the old mart site in Kilkenny City.
