Leading Kilkenny politician pays tribute to local businessman following his passing

Newly elected Green Party senator, Malcom Noonan and his family have paid tribute to well known Kilkenny business person, George Ralph who passed away.

Mr Ralph traded in D&R Antiques on Rose Inn Street in the city for a number of years, with many of his former customers, neighbours and members of the business community paying tribute following news of his passing.

"We are so sad to hear of George's passing. I got to know him and Joe shortly after they set up D&R in Kilkenny. Together they contributed so much to culture, tourism and heritage in their adopted city.

"Our deepest condolences to George's wife, family and many friends (I feel lucky to have been counted among them). Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dilís," the Green Party senator and his family said.
