Kilkenny Castle was forced to close today (Friday) due to a 'major' power outage.
In a statement, the local tourist attraction said:"Due to a major power outage, Kilkenny Castle will remain closed today, Friday June 27, until further notice.

The operators of the famous Kilkenny attraction have apologised for the inconvenience.
