'We think of Ciara every day' - Kilkenny mother remembers daughter on anniversary

A Kilkenny mother has paid tribute to her dearly missed daughter on the ninth anniversary of her passing.

Ciara Lawlor, who was a student at the Loreto Secondary School at the time, died suddenly during a Kodaline concert from a heart condition in July 2016. The band subsequently wrote a song in her memory.

"It's hard to believe it’s nine years Ciara left Kilkenny to go to a Kodaline concert in Dublin, only later that night to receive the devastating news she died," her mother Eimear said.

"We never thought we could go on - we did - and it was hard, and still is, but easier.

"We think of Ciara every day and always will. Kodaline wrote a beautiful song called Angel for and did a tribute to her in 2019 in St Anne’s Park." - WATCH HERE
