Could former US President Barack Obama be coming to Kilkenny as part of Irish visit?

Local Labour councillor and former Mayor of Kilkenny City, Cllr Sean Ó hArgain has suggested the local authority extend an invite to former US President, Barack Obama ahead of his visit to Ireland in September.

Obama (63) who became the first black president when he took office in 2009, will be interviewed by journalist Fintan O'Toole Dublin's 3Arena on Friday, September 26.

Perhaps, slightly tongue in cheek, Cllr Ó hArgain asked if the council would consider issuing an invitation.
