Kilkenny businessman opens new meat store in city centre

Kilkenny People Archive 1975 - Friday, November 28, was a red-letter day for Michael and Bernadette Egan when they transferred their victualling business to 46/47 Upper John Street, Kilkenny. The new premises has been completely renovated and modernised to meet today's needs.

Michael and Bernadette need no introduction as they have carried on a very lucrative business at 49 John Street for nearly 20 years.

They saw the need for expansion and, due to lack of space, they decided to move. They still retain their thriving green grocery business. This marks a major achievement for a long-standing and highly successful business. They aim to keep up the tradition of courtesy to customers, who are assured of the same quick service and good value.
