Construction of two new Kilkenny City pedestrian crossings almost completed

Two new pedestrian crossings are fast approaching completion on the Dublin Road in Kilkenny City.

Local councillor based in the city, Cllr Eugene McGuinness has welcomed the developments, expressing delight at the progress.

"I had raised this issue with the council almost three years ago, not only to allow pedestrians cross in safety but to slow down traffic allowing time for residents of Lacken Drive to enter and exit safely onto this busy stretch of road," he said.

"A big thanks to our Council Engineers and road crew for getting this done, much appreciated."
