A dog with remarkable eyes named after David Bowie is looking for a forever home after recently being taken into the care of Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter.

"He is a two-year-old male lurcher who was nervous when he first came to the shelter but has come around really well," the shelter said in the statement.

"He gets on well with other female dogs his own size, we don’t know about cats or children so a home with teenagers or just adults and a fully secure garden will be required.

"If you are interested in adopting this stunning young boy please contact us on 0599726785."
