The number of people accessing emergency accommodation in Kilkenny has dropped from 42 to 38, according to the latest 'homelessness report' from the Department of Housing.
This figure was recorded during the last full week of May 2024.
It must be noted that these 'homelessness' figures do not include the ‘hidden homeless’ who might be sleeping rough, living in refuges, or staying with parents, relatives and friends.
A total of 276 people are accessing emergency accommodation across the South-East region, according to this latest report.
