A major public meeting will be held next week to demand immediate safety improvements and push for the long-awaited upgrade of the N25 between Waterford and Glenmore.
Campaigners say the road has seen “far too many accidents” and stress that the community is united in calling for changes to prevent further loss of life.
The meeting will take place at the Rhu Glenn Hotel in Slieverue (Eircode X91 E395), County Kilkenny, on Monday, June 16, at 8pm.

“All relevant stakeholders will be in attendance to speak, listen, and answer your questions,” the campaign group stated.
“Local and national politicians will also be present to hear the concerns of the public and show their support for necessary improvements.”
Cllr Ger Frisby told a recent meeting of Piltown Municipal District about the pressing “need for funding to advance projects (N25 and N24) to stage 3 and 4” and said he was “hoping for a good turnout”.
Cllr Pat Dunphy noted that “a lot of momentum [is] going behind it” and pointed out that “Tipperary [is] putting pretty heavy pressure on advancing N24”.

He continued: “On the N25 we have had recent deaths. It’s a major issue. We need approval from the Cabinet, simple as that.”
