Motorists are warned to be alert this evening, Friday, as heavy rain has made driving conditions tricky.
Gardaí have issued an alert to say the main road from Clonmel to Kilkenny, the N76, is flooded at a spot between Clonmel and Callan and is currently impassible.

The N76 has been closed between the towns of Clonmel and Callan due to adverse weather conditions.
Traffic leaving Clonmel has currently been diverted to the N24.

Meanwhile, Tipperary Fire on X (formerly Twitter) is asking motorists to avoid the N76 at Seskin because of an accident.
It is believed to involve a bus and a car and that a number of people have been injured.
