The death has occurred of Sr. Philomena (Mary) Colleton
Coolnacritta, Galmoy, Kilkenny

Sr. Philomena (Mary) Colleton, Ursulines of Jesus, Stella Maris Convent, Swansea and formerly Coolnacritta, Galmoy Co. Kilkenny, peacefully on October 27th. 2023. Predeceased by her parents Tony and Anne, brother Jimmy and brother-in-law Mick Bergin. Deeply regretted by her loving family, Pat, Nellie (Bergin), Tommy and Martin, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and  her Community and Congregation at Stella Maris Convent Swansea and Court Na Cuddy, Wexford.

Rest in Peace 

Reposing at Stella Maris Convent Swansea on Thursday November 9th. Requiem mass on Friday November 10th at 12.30 followed by burial in the adjoining Convent Cemetery. Memorial mass for Sr. Philomena will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Galmoy at a later date.

The death has occurred of Brigid (Bridie) Maher (née Murphy)
Larchfield, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny / Carrick-on-Suir, Waterford

Brigid (Bridie) Maher (née Murphy), (Larchfield, Kilkenny and late of Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Waterford) 1st of  November 2023 (peacefully) at her home. Predeceased by her husband Joe and her sisters Alice and Lolo. Beloved mother of Eilis, Catherine and William. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, son, sisters Helen and Margaret, son-in-law Patrick, daughter-in-law Kate, grandchildren Nathan, Joseph, Alice and Murphy, brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Sheila Byrne (née Saunders)
Rathfarnham, Dublin / Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Byrne, Sheila (née Saunders) late of Rathfarnham and formerly of Walkin Street, Kilkenny City, passed away peacefully on the 30th of October 2023, in the wonderful care of the staff at Terenure Nursing Home. Beloved wife of Liam and loving mother to Sharon, Caroline, Sinéad and Eddie, and cherished sister of Peggy; she will be sadly missed by her husband, children, sister, sons-in-law Colm, Niall and Ron, daughter-in-law Olive, grandchildren Cian, Tara, Darren, Ross, Caolfhionn, and Cillian, her great-granddaughter Scarlet, nieces, nephews, and all extended family, neighbours and friends.

Sheila will be reposing at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnham, on Wednesday evening (November 1st) from 5pm to 6.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange, Rathfarnham, arriving for 11.30am Mass, followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery. Michael (Mick) Devane, 72 Dean Cavanagh Place, Kilkenny

Mick, in his 96th year, died 30th October 2023, peacefully at home in the loving care of his family. Predeceased by his loving wife Una and son Ger. Beloved father of John, Marian, Carmel, Michael, Ann and Eddie. Mick will be dearly missed by his loving family, sons-in-law Bobby, David and Patsy, daughters-in-law Helen, Ann, Helen and Angela, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister-in-law Marguerite, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home on Wednesday (1st Nov) from 4pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday morning at 11am in St. Mary's Cathedral. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private. Family flowers only please.

The death has occurred of Rupprecht Graf Von Deym
Garryhill, Carlow / Kilkenny

Rupprecht Graf Von Deym, Coolcullen via Carlow, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Garryhill House, Garryhill, Co. Carlow.

Passed away peacefully at Saint Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, October 30th, 2023.

Rupprecht beloved husband of Ruth and much loved father of Carola, Antonia, Hilda and Robert.

Sadly missed by his wife, daughters, son, grandchildren, brothers, relatives, extended family and his life long friends.

Reposing at Kearney's Funeral Home, Fenagh on Thursday from 5pm until 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in Saint Lazerian's Church, Drumphea, followed by private cremation.

Formerly of Killyon, Hill of Down, County Meath.

Betty passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of SignaCare, Ferrybank.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, parents John and Mary Rose, brothers Paddy, Larry and Finn.

Sadly missed by her son John, daughters Jacqui, Barbara, Sandra and Elaine, sister Nuala (Gannon), brothers Kit, Jimmy and Anthony, daughter-in-law Margaret, sons-in-law Barry, Joe, Michael and Trevor, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Cíara, Stephen, Craig, Nicola, Aidan, Louise, Lucy, Ruairí, Aoibhinn, Emma and Éabha, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Arriving on Thursday at St. Senan’s Church, Kilmacow (Via her residence) for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.

Burial after in the adjoining cemetery. 

The death has occurred of Derry Neale
Hollypark, Crettyard, Carlow / Crettyard, Kilkenny / Crettyard, Laois

Derry Neale, October 29th 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, surrounded by his loving family, following an illness bravely fought.

Beloved husband of Jackie and much loved father of Scott, Rebecca, Abbey, Simon and Sam and cherished son of Sylvia and the late Willie. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughters, mother, brother Billy, sisters Wendy, Stephanie and Avril, mother-in-law Susan Delahunt, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncle, aunt, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

Safe in the arms of Jesus.

Funeral service on Thursday (Nov. 2nd) at 2pm in Mayo Church, Crettyard (R93 R621). Burial afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.

House private at all times, please.
