LATEST: 17 patients on trolleys at Kilkenny hospital

BREAKING: Visiting restrictions introduced at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny

St Luke's General Hospital

Seventeen patients are on trolleys at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny today according to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation. 

Nationally 553 admitted patients are waiting for beds, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 364 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 189 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

This is a sharp increase on yesterday's figures, when nine patients were reported as being on trolleys at St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny,
