Kilkenny deaths for Thursday, August 16

The late John-Joe Bergin

The death has occurred of John-Joe Bergin,  Levalley, Galmoy, Kilkenny and Rathdowney, Laois, unexpectedly at Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Sadly mourned by his relatives, neighbours and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced Thursday afternoon.

The late Julia Kennedy

The death has occurred of Julia Kenedy,  10 Troyscourt, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny and Attanagh, Kilkenny/Laois. Formerly of Arnotts, Dublin, she died peacefully, at Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny. Deeply regretted by her sisters Mem (Dunphy), Kathleen (Cummins) and Claire (Morrissey), brothers in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews relatives and friends,

Reposing in Troysgate Oratory Kilkenny from 1.30pm to 2.30pm on Thursday. Reposing at her sister Mem’s house (Earlsgarden, Attanagh) from 4pm on Thursday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal to the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill, on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The late Bridget O'shea

The death has occurred of Bridget O'Shea, (née Brennan)
Hillcrest, Donaguile, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, peacefully at Home. Sadly missed by her husband James, sons, William, Michael, Patrick and Martin, sister Teresa, daughters-in-law Mary and Catherine, brothers-in-law Paddy, Brian, Martin and John, grandchildren Nicola, Mary, James, Jamie, Amy and Hannah, great-grandchildren Ruairí, Grace, Cillian and Kara, cousin Mary, nieces and nephews, close family and friends.

 Reposing at her home from 3pm on Thursday. Vigil Prayers and Rosary on Thursday evening at 8pm. Funeral Prayers on Friday morning at 9.45am followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer for Requiem Mass at 10.30am with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
