Exciting active week at primary school in Kilkenny!

The pupils from Church Hill NS were very energetic during their Active Week. On the first day fifth and sixth class went orienteering in the Kilkenny Castle Park.

Day two of Active Week was another exciting event as Noel Devlin came in to teach the children some rugby skills.

The first class children also got their turn to learn a few basketball tricks from Murt, John and Killian.

Day three saw a visit from James Kelly and David Butler from Bravo Fitness who put each class through their paces.

Fifth and sixth classes travelled to Dublin on their school tour, visiting Jump Zone and Croke Park.

On day four, Caoimhe Shiel trained each class in gymnastics, while James Kelly returned to put fifth and sixth class through their fitness training. The smaller Junior Infants enjoyed a picnic.

The school finished their Active Week with a trip to Evergreen FC for their annual sports day.

Well done to every boy and girl who participated in a wide range of activities during the week.

The Parents Association organised an ice cream van on the day for which the children and staff were delighted.
