A young Kilkenny man named Billy Mulhall, looks set to follow in his legendary grandfather's footsteps after starting his football journey with local club Evergreen.
Billy was in his full Evergreen kit taking part in the club's most recent academy, with the young man showcasing his skills bringing back nostalgic memories for many on the Kells Road.

"He was delighted to be shown photos hanging on our wall of his Great Grandfather Algie Lanigan, a great clubman and stalwart of our Junior team in the 60’s and 70’s," a spokesperson for the club said.
"As we repeatedly say, the success of our club is built on it being a family club.
"The next generation, relations of past players coming through consistently, is wonderful to see," they concluded.
