A Kilkenny company has world leaders at their feet - or should that be they're under the feet of world leaders!?
Graignamanagh's Cushendale Woolen Mills took a trip to the home of President Michael D Higgins, Aras an Uachtaráin in the Phoenix Park, recently to meet the man himself, and check up on some of the furnishings of the residence they were involved in creating.
The stunning work of the local company looks as good now as it did 25 years ago, when Cushendale Woolen Mills dyed and spun the yarns for the carpets in the main reception rooms. The yarns were custom dyed at Cushendale by Jim Ryan, Master Dyer.
Last week Jim was with mill owner Philip Cushen, his daughter Miriam and her husband Trevor, when they visited the Aras.
