Kilkenny County Council is currently in the early stages of developing a greenway between Woodstock Estate near Inistioge, County Kilkenny and the South East Greenway at New Ross, County Wexford.
A Public Consultation opened on Monday, February 17 and will remain in place until Friday, March 14, and the local authority want to hear from the public on their vision for the area.
Meanwhile, following a briefing at January's sitting of the Callan-Thomastown Municipal District, local representatives across the political divide united in their support of the project.
"I'm delighted that we're starting to see progress and the first steps in realising what what will be an absolute gamechanger if we could succeed in getting this over the line," Fine Gael councillor, Michael Doyle said.
