Works on phase two of the South-East Greenway between Curraghmore and Ferrybank in South Kilkenny are largely complete.
Minor finishing works are currently being finalised on the 6km ahead of opening.
The opening of this phase remains dependent on the completion of works at the North Quays development in Waterford.

Once this area is available, access to the southern end of the greenway will be provided via the North Quays/Abbey Road intersection.
A temporary trailhead car park will also be made available within the North Quays development.

Works there are now substantially complete, with snagging and finishing works expected to conclude in late April 2026.
Overall, of the 24km South-East Greenway, approximately 14km is now completed or substantially completed.

Efforts are also continuing to advance on linking the greenway to the villages of Glenmore and Slieverue in South Kilkenny, as well as Woodstock in Inistioge.
