The hunt for Kilkenny’s ultimate 99 has come to an end after much debate and the people of Kilkenny casting their all important votes.
After countless nominations, six local legends made it to the shortlist, representing the finest ice cream from all corners of Kilkenny.
But, the ultimate title belongs to Croke's Shop in Mooncoin who have been voted the overall winner. The family run store is managed by three generations of one family who have served the Mooncoin community for over 100 years.
Siblings Margaret, John and Anne Croke are the team behind the shop, today, continuing the tradition that began with their grandparents in 1924.
The success of Croke’s is thanks to the great staff and the support the shop gets from the community, the ‘great customers’.
