Shamrocks chase 16th title in Kilkenny

Ballyhale Shamrocks are hot on the trail of what would be their 16th senior hurling championship title in Kilkenny.
The South Kilkenny outfit were magnificent today when dethroning reigning champions, Dicksboro, in a high quality quarter-final in John Lockes Park. They won by 1-24 to 1-19.
Kilkenny star, T.J. Reid contributed a wonderful 1-15 and it could have been a lot more as he claimed a mere one point from three penalties.
Henry Shefflin is the manager of Shamrocks, who were drawn against James Stephens or Erin's Own (Castlecomer) in the semi-finals. The latter pair play their quarter-final next weekend.
The other semi-final will be between near neighbours, Clara and Bennettsbridge.
