Much of Kilkenny awoke to a thin blanket of white on the ground this morning, and it looks like the current cold snap is set to continue for another few days.

A moderate advisory weather warning has again been issued for the county.

Alert message from Met Eireann:Staying cold until Friday with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on roads and footpaths. Some showers of hail, sleet and snow are expected with the potential for freezing fog.For winter weather preparation visit www.winterready.ie.
