ALERT: Kilkenny hit with weather warning as local temperatures soar

A Status Yellow High Temperature Warning is set to come into play from Friday

Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow High Temperature warning for Kilkenny which will come into place from midday on Friday until 6am on Saturday morning.

Maximum temperatures could reach in excess of 27°C combined with night-time minimum temperatures in excess of 15°C expected.

Locals are advised to be mindful of water safety etiquette, and take the necessary measures to limit the impact of the heat on their health.
