The old mart site in Kilkenny City
Retail giants Tesco are currently inviting residential developers to submit expressions of interest to partner with them to provide a residential element to their site at the old mart in Kilkenny City.
Tesco have appointed Cushman & Wakefield and FitzGerald Auctioneers to handle this process.
It is expected to include the sale of almost 3.5 acres of the site subject to planning permission, with the remainder (just over five acres) set to be developed as retail use by the supermarket giant.
Expressions of interest will be considered up until the deadline of November 1, 2023.
A spokesperson for Tesco recently confirmed to Kilkenny Live that the company are 'continuing to work closely with the local council' on the overall masterplan for the site.
