Baptised recently was Michael John Patrick, son of Michael and Niamh O’Donovan, Garranroe, Thurles.
Also baptised was Millie, daughter of Kieran and Karina Grehan, Church Road, Johnstown.
In other church news, masses for the holy day (Friday) are as follows - Thursday: Urlingford, 6.30pm; Johnstown, 8pm. Friday: Galmoy, 10.15am.
Christmas offerings are now due.
A carol service will be held in the Church of the Assumption on Sunday at 7.30pm - all welcome.
In preparation for Christmas there will be an hour of quiet prayer, reflection and music in St Kieran’s Church this Sunday and on Sunday, December 17 from 3 to 4pm.
