Roisin Wiley International Rose of Tralee 2023 with Billy Moloney and Terry Renwick
The 2024 Search for the International Rose of Tralee kicked off in Kilkenny when Roisin Wiley, this years International Rose of Tralee, arrived to the Marble City from New York to launch the official search for the next Kilkenny Rose.
Roisin was joined by our 2022 Kilkenny Rose Molly Coogan and International Rose Escort Tommy Quirke. Also getting in on the fun were two members of the Kilkenny Under 12 Soccer Team, Terry Renwick and Billy Moloney who had their team jerseys sponsored by the Kilkenny Rose Centre.
Lyn Moloney, Coordinator with the ROTIF said “there’s never been a better time for any girl to put themselves forward and go for it. It’s a fantastic opportunity for any young girl and an experience they will never forget.
"The journey itself is a lot of fun and going on to become your County Rose, representing your family, friends, community on an international stage next August can be truly life changing. We would encourage anyone thinking about it to reach out and get in touch, you won’t regret it.
"We would also love to hear from Clubs and Community groups who may like to get involved in our new Community Fundraising Initiative to also contact us," said Lyn.
MacDonagh Junction will once again be the main sponsor for the Kilkenny Rose 2024 and the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel the hospitality sponsor. CATWALK of Kilkenny are also on board as one of the sponsors to the newly chosen Kilkenny Rose 2024. "We are very fortunate here in Kilkenny to have such loyal sponsors and we thank them for their continued support and friendship over the years," said Lyn.
If you know someone who you think would be a great ambassador for Kilkenny, put their names forward by reaching out to the local organisation on any of thier social media platforms or if you would like to apply yourself log onto www.roseoftralee.ie .
