A valued member of staff in a Kilkenny fast-food restaurant has proven his talents are not simply limited to the kitchen.
McDonald's employee Adam took home gold and bronze medals in Leinster competition, much to the delight of his work colleagues and the local community.
Adam has worked at Kilkenny McDonald's over the past seven years having been introduced by the SOS in Kilkenny.
Today (Thursday), SOS Kilkenny will celebrate their 50th year in operation, providing invaluable supports to many people in the locality. The service gives people with different abilities the support they need to live full and meaningful lives in our community.

"Our employee Adam's recent sporting triumphs are nothing short of amazing, he brought his medals in today to show us all just how talented and successful he has been in recent times," McDonald's posted to social media.
"Back in February, Adam took home the gold in the Leinster regional Bocce event, in June, he took home Gold in both the Javelin and the 100 metres in the regional athletics event. Most recently, he took home bronze in the regional golfing event," they added.
"We are beyond grateful for their hard work and dedication to such a wonderful cause. Our owner/franchisee Chris will attend the celebration.
"Well done to Adam on his sporting achievements and Conor also and we hope to see them bringing more gold medals in the future," the post concluded.
