Plans for new housing development in Kilkenny

Plans for a 13-unit housing development in Castlecomer have been submitted to Kilkenny County Council.

The applicant, Byrne & Byrne Construction Ltd, are seeking to develop a site on Barrack Street in the town.

As part of the application, they have also sought permission to demolish an existing dwelling and kiosk.

The planned housing development will consist of eight terraced three-bed two-storey houses in two blocks, two semi-detached two-bed two-storey houses and three terraced two-bed two-storey houses.

Also sought is vehicular access including alterations to existing footpath.

Mains water is to be provided by an on-site bored well and associated plant room with provisions for future connection to public mains water supply.

A decision on the application is due by February 10, 2023.
