GAA club in Kilkenny seeks to construct seated spectator stand and gym

Clara GAA Club recently submitted a substantial planning application to Kilkenny County Council for development.

The application seeks firstly to retain an existing clubhouse extension and the current hurling ball wall.

It also seeks permission for a new extension to the clubhouse comprising of a gym with mezzanine level, a link corridor, toilets, a covered viewing area and associated external works.

Permission for the extension of the existing hurling ball wall and tennis courts is also planned, alongside alterations to the adjacent car park area with additional lighting.

Finally, permission is also sought for a new seated spectator stand structure to main pitch.

A decision from Kilkenny County Council is due on the plans by February 15, 2023.
