WATCH: Scenes of joy as Sinn Féin retain seat in Carlow-Kilkenny

Stay tuned to Kilkenny Live for coverage of General Election '24

There were immense scenes of joy as Kilkenny Sinn Féin candidate Natasha Newsome Drennan retained the party's seat in Carlow-Kilkenny.

Both Newsome Drennan and Jennifer Murnane O'Connor were deemed elected despite not reaching the quota following the elimination of Sinn Féin candidate Áine Gladney Knox.

They will be joined in Dáil Éireann by John McGuinness (Fianna Fáil), Catherine Callaghan (Fine Gael) and Peter 'Chap' Cleere (Fianna Fáil).
